~~Under Construction~~
Now for studio construction:
Barn Construction Start to finish:
Construction started last week. Today (March 29) is cement day. I took the pictures while the first truck was here.
As I type we are in the middle of our third.
Wednesday
Thursday
No new pictures. They finished the headers for the over head doors and some other details.
Friday
Truss Setting Day
Yesterday and today they worked on adding the boards for support needed to put on steel. I'll try to get a picture later today. :)
Tuesday
Sunday
For the record I didn't object to the steel. The crew and dad did. :)
Monday April 11
Wednesday mid day
Tuesday Morning
Progress seems slow at this point. They have lots of time consuming details to work on. Wrapping every nook and cranny on the porch, with facing, or J channel, putting the piece of steel behind the steel at each end of the porch (see below) in case the exterior steel ever leaks. That way it will run between the two steels and not rot the wood. The lift to work the siding over the roof is being repaired so nothing can be done there. I'll post more pictures when there is much to see. If it rains tomorrow, the plan is to do the ceiling. I know my pictures don't show what the eye can see when looking at the building. I was working at my torch in the garage the last two days and once the crew leaves people sure slow down to look. Wait till I tell you about the landscaping Denny suggested. Between the two drive door, a flag pole with spot light pointing at a sign on the wall. He said with a Hosford Farms sign...then he added construction by John Golden Construction. I suggested it could just say ~ Paradise.
